Follow these steps to disable Windows Defender permanently:
- Open Windows Security
- Click Virus & threat protection
- Click Manage Settings
- Turn off Tamper Protection
- Press Window + R button
- Search gpedit.msc to open the Group Policy Editor
- Go to
Local Group Policy Editor > Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows Components > Microsoft Defender Antivirus
- Double-click the Turn off Microsoft Defender Antivirus policy
- Select the Enabled option to disable Microsoft Defender Antivirus
- Click Apply
- Disable Realtime Protection. Go to Local Group Policy > Microsoft Defender Antivirus > Real-time Protection > Turn off real-time protection. Set to Enable.
- Restart your PC
